Scott Higgins is a Financial Advisor responsible for helping the firm’s individual wealth management clients with income strategies for retirement and consulting with employers with their employee retirement plans. His investment passion began early in his career while seeing first hand the lack of personal savings and wanted to make a difference in how people prepared for their post working years.
Scott joined the firm in 2012 with eleven years of industry experience. Prior to joining Rose Street Advisors, he was an investment advisor representative with a local advisory firm where he was responsible for creating retirement income strategies for individual clients along with corporate retirement plan consulting. He previously was partner of Breckenridge Financial Inc.
Scott holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses; a life and health insurance license; a real estate broker license; and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designations. Scott earned a BA in economics & management from Albion College, and a MBA in finance from Michigan State University.
Scott, his spouse and two college age children have been residents of the Kalamazoo area for over 26 years and currently reside in the Texas Township area.
