Erwin Doerschler (Butch) is Principal and CEO Emeritus. He was a founding partner of Scott, Doerschler, Messner & Gauntlett (SDMG). When SDMG merged with First of America Bank in 1997, he became senior vice president. In 1999, First of America Bank merged with National City Bank and Butch was named President of National City Insurance Group (Michigan). National City Bank merged with PNC Bank in 2008.
In 2010, Butch purchased National City Insurance Group-Michigan from PNC Bank and named the new company Rose Street Advisors, LLC. Butch advises clients on the acquisition of life insurance for estate and business succession planning.
Butch has a chartered life underwriter (CLU) designation and is a family business specialist (FBS). He is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals (FSP), a life and qualifying member of The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and the Association for Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU). Butch earned his MBA from Western Michigan University in 1964.
He has served on the boards of the Greater Kalamazoo United Way, Voluntary Action Center, Kalamazoo Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council, Griffin Place, Pro-Med Physicians, Kalamazoo Country Day School, Kalamazoo Country Club and Access Medical.
